A heavy boulder caused the death of a tourist due to a landslide in the Kaiwai area of Kaghan on Monday

KAGHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Oct, 2023) A heavy boulder caused the death of a tourist due to a landslide in the Kaiwai area of Kaghan on Monday.

According to Kaghan police, a visitor from Lahore, identified as Muhammad Sarim, lost his life after a landslide struck his vehicle (bearing registration number AZA-586) on the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road (MNJ) in the Kawai region of Kaghan Valley.

The unfortunate incident took place as Muhammad Sarim and his family were returning home after enjoying their visit to Kaghan Valley. A landslide, dislodged from a nearby mountain, struck their vehicle.

A Kaghan Rescue 1122 team promptly shifted Muhammad Sarim's body to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Balakot, and later after completion of medico legal formalities handed it over to his family and shifted to Lahore.
