
"Jashan-e-Azadi Sports Festival 2016" Held At Press Club

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Augst,2016) : As a part of Independence Day celebrations, a "Jashan-e-Azadi Sports Festival 2016" was held at Hyderabad Press Club on Tuesday in which children from different schools demonstrated skills of Karate. The event was jointly organised by Sindh Sports board and Karate Association Hyderabad.
Speaking at the occasion, former Sindh minister Sharif Ansari appreciated the efforts of Karate Association in promotion of positive and healthy activities in the society particularly the youth and urged the youth to step ahead and join the positive activities. Director Sports, Hyderabad, Irshad Ali Makhdoom, President, Karate Association, Hyderabad, Imran Askari, Parveen Lodhi and others said that our forefathers striven hard to achieve an independent country for the Muslims of sub-continent.
They stressed upon youth to attach themselves with sports and other positive and healthy activities which not only contribute in their physical stability but also strengthen them mentally. The awards and certificates were distributed among the students who demonstrated excellent skill of karate while the distinguished guests were presented traditional gift of Ajrak.
