
MOHR To Hold Four-day Sports Festival For Minorities

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th july,2016) : Ministry of Human Rights (MOHR) will hold a four-day National Minorities sports Festival (NMSF) from August 7 to August 11 here at Sports Complex.
The events is being organized in connection with National Minorities Day observed on the August 11 annually. The National Minorities Day got official recognition in 2009 by the efforts of former Minister of Minorities Affairs Shehbaz Bhatti who was killed on March 2, 2011.
The minister directed to form a committee to oversee the event and facilitate the participating teams, an official of Human Rights ministry told APP.
The activities of Minorities Sports Festival included football, cricket, basketball, body building, athletics, badminton and tug of war. Ministry directed the interested participants to take part in the festival to get their registration free of cost till the July 30 through contacting provincial or Federal offices of the ministry.
