Pak-Iran Immigration Issues To Be Resolved: Qadir

QUETTA, Nov 8 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 08th Nov, 2016 ) : Federal Minister for SAFRON, Lt-General (Retr) Abdul Qadir Baloch has said that border and immigration issues of Pakistan and Iran would be resolved amicably in order to facilitate people of the two countries and to boost cross-border trade activities.
He said this while visiting Cadet College and Girls College and talking to journalists in Panjgur on Tuesday. He said he was aware of problems and difficulties being faced by local people after closure of Pak-Iran border due to security reasons.
"People living along Pak-Iran border have to depend on cross-border trade for their livelihood," he said, adding he would take up the issue with the high-ups in the government to legalize import of oil from Iran in order to provide employment to local people.
He said Balochistan's quota in federal government jobs would be implemented in letter and spirit and added that youth of Balochistan including from Panjgur would be given employment under this quota.
"I am making efforts for provision of government jobs to youth of Balochistan in federal government departments," he said. He said he had received complaints regarding scarcity of potable water in Panjgur.
"We are going to concert water schemes on solar system to cater need of water in Panjgur," he added. He urged youth to get education, especially vocational and technical, to take part in development of the country.
