Pakistan Customs Foil Gold Smuggling Bid

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Nov, 2016 ) : Pakistan Customs foiled another gold smuggling attempt at Pak-Afghan Torkham border and arrested a person involved in this activity. Four days ago customs have foiled the bid of smuggling two kilogram gold from Afghanistan.
The alleged accused Imran Khan son of Manzoor Elahi, resident of Ring Road, Peshawar was carrying shopping bags filled with grapes, but on passing through the scanner, the customs officials spotted suspected material.
On checking the shopping bag, they found three stones weighing 603 grams. The accused failed to show legal documents of the gold. The customs authorities took the accused into custody and registered case against him. Further investigations were in progress.
