Pakistan Railways To Take Action Against Staff Involved In Extra Charging Under Dam Fund

Pakistan Railways on Tuesday decided to take strict action against the PR staff involved in charging extra amount from the passengers in the name of collecting dam fund.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Oct, 2018 ) :Pakistan Railways on Tuesday decided to take strict action against the PR staff involved in charging extra amount from the passengers in the name of collecting dam fund.

"Under the Dam fund, an amount of Rs 2 is being deducted from each economy class ticket while Rs10 are being deducted from AC class ticket," Parliamentary Secretary Farrukh Habib said in a statement.

He added that at Gujrat Railway Station, some railway staff members were found extra charging from the passengers, therefore he had ordered the station's authorities to inquire about the matter and take strict action against those involved in it.
