Peshawar High Court (PHC) Takes Case Of Sharifa Bibi

The Peshawar High Court (PHC) here Wednesday took up the case of Sharifa Bibi, a girl who was molested in Dera Ismail Khan months ago by the accused now at large.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Mar, 2018 ) :The Peshawar High Court (PHC) here Wednesday took up the case of Sharifa Bibi, a girl who was molested in Dera Ismail Khan months ago by the accused now at large.
The case was heard by the two member bench of the PHC while DIG Dera Ismail Khan, Karim Khan was also present in the court. When asked by the bench regarding progress in arresting the accused, the DIG said concentrated efforts were underway to arrest Sajawal Khan, main accused in case of molesting Sharifa Bibi.
The court asked the DIG whether the accused has escaped abroad the country upon which the DIG it has been confirmed that the accused has not yet obtained his passport so there was no possibility of his escape to foreign country.
The DIG further informed that NADRA has also blocked the CNIC of the accused. Around 30 raids, the DIG said have been conducted at various places to arrest the accused but so far no success has been achieved.
The DIG further said that action has also been taken against the relatives of the accused and five cases under different clauses have been registered against them. He said a raid was also conducted at the residence of an influential land lord in Punjab but the accused was not there.
The DIG assured the court that police would further enhance its efforts and the accused would soon be behind the bars. The court ordered the DIG to submit this report to the court and make sure that the accused is arrested as soon as possible.
