PU Organises Seminar On Pak-Afghan Relations

LAHORE (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Nov, 2016 ) : Punjab University's Pakistan Study Centre organised a special lecture on "Pakistan Afghanistan Relations: Implications for the Region", here on Wednesday.
Prof Dr Piotr Balcerowicz of University of Warsaw, Poland and Muhammad Mehdi, foreign policy expert and central media coordinator PML-N, were among speakers.
Director of the centre Prof Dr Massarrat Abid stressed the need to understand that Pakistan-Afghanistan's friendship was essential for a durable peace and said Pakistan had always seen Afghanistan as a brother Islamic country.
Prof Dr Piotr Balcerowicz expressed views about internal dynamics of political structure of Afghanistan. Muhammad Mehdi in his speech said the government was keenly desirous to foster bilateral relations with Afghanistan believing that peace and stability in Afghanistan will spill over its positive impacts on Pakistan.
