Qadir Asks Sindh Govt To Extend Rangers Powers

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th july, 2016) : Minister for SAFRON Lt Gen (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch has said the Sindh government should extend powers to Rangers for maintaining peace in country's economic hub. Talking to a private news channel, he said law and order situation has improved due to Rangers operation in the metropolitan city.
Karachi operation is being conducted against criminals and was not to target any political party, he said. He said investigations into May 12, 2007 Karachi incident should be held impartially through the supreme or high court judges.
He said Muthahidah Quami Movement (MQM) leader Waseem Akhtar has not mentioned in his statement of any pressure on him while giving confessional statement on incident of May 12.
