Revised Municipal Corporation Faisalabad Tax Withdrawn On Hosiery Machinery

Mayor Municipal Corporation Faisalabad (MCF) Mohammad Razak Malik said that revised municipal corporation tax had been withdrawn on hosiery machinery and a notification in this regard had also been issued.
Addressing a meeting of Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers & Exporters (PHMA) at PHMA complex here Monday, he said that earlier, a notification for withdrawal of revised municipal corporation tax was issued but it could not be implemented due to general elections and change in the provincial government. Now, a new notification in this regard has also been issued and implementation on it would start soon.
According to new notification, the municipal corporation will charge tax of Rs 500/- instead of Rs 1,000/- per hosiery machine, he added.
Responding to a question, he said that municipal corporation was striving optimum to provide all possible facilities as it had completed development projects worth Rs 1.
5 billion during 15 months.
As many as 32 electrical signals have been made functional in Faisalabad city, whereas 4-5 signals would also be installed very soon, he added.
He said that repair and renovation of all roads fall under the jurisdiction of municipal corporation will be started very soon, whereas new LED lights have been purchased for their installation in streets.
He said that working on provision of parking facilities and installation of cat-eyes in downtown areas is also at full swings.
He said that Rs 100 million was allocation for Clock Tower and with this amount new LED lights have been installed besides fixing new iron fence around it.
Earlier, Senior Vice Chairman PHMA North Zone Mian Kashif Zia also addressed the meeting and highlighted the problems being confronted by hosiery industry.
Later, PHMA shield was also presented to Mayor MunicipalCorporation Faisalabad (MCF) Razak Malik.
