University Of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice Chancellor For Dealing With Issue Of Climate Change

University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Zafar has stressed the need for dealing with the issue of climate changes playing havoc not only with the lives but also agriculture sector.
FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Feb, 2018 ) :University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Zafar has stressed the need for dealing with the issue of climate changes playing havoc not only with the lives but also agriculture sector.
He was talking to a delegation of 19th middle level bankers of different countries during a visit to UAF at Syndicate Room UAF on Wednesday. The delegation was led by Waqas Kashif, Chief Manager, State Bank of Pakistan, Faisalabad.
He said that it is essential to come up with solutions based on tangible scientific researches to overcome the crises. He said that the country is facing tremendous challenges including new diseases, environmental hazards and depleting water resources, poverty, diminishing resources, ever-increasing population and low per acre productivity.
He said with increasing pollution, and smoke emitting from the chunk of factories, the issue of climate changes are aggravating with each passing day. He lauded the measures being taken on the part of government to address the issue of the farming community and agriculture.
Talking about other issues, he stressed upon the need to work on the problems of a common man, society and industry to move the country to the new horizon of development and prosperity.
