The actress bowled over fans and fellow Bollywood stars, who took to social media to express their excitement for the film and laud her decision to tell the story of acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal.The actress signalled off the start of her film in Delhi today and also announced that it is slated for a January 10, 2020 release.

As it turns out, the release date was also booked by Ajay Devgn over the weekend, when he announced that his ambitious periodic film, Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior' will be out on January 10 next year.

The box office has seen several clashes over the years.

While some have risen as clear winners, others have had to bite the dust if not bow out and opt for another date.Meanwhile, it looks like 2020 will leave film buffs spoilt for choice with the varied genres to choose from. While Chhapaak' will reportedly celebrate the undying human spirit, Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior' will take the audience back in time to relive Indian history.
