Dutch violin maestro Andre Rieu on Tuesday pledged 700 tonnes of steel to help rebuild Paris' Notre-Dame cathedral after it was gutted by a fire
"We would like to provide our 700 tonnes of steel, used for the set of Schoenbrunn Castle, to help erect the scaffold for the restoration of beautiful Notre-Dame," said Rieu, who posed with a picture of the steel.
Called "A Romantic Vienna Night," the decor included a life-size replica of the Imperial Schoenbrunn Palace and is said to be the largest touring stage in the world, according to Dutch news agency ANP.
The set included fountains, an ice rink and a ballroom full of dancers and even a gold-plated state carriage.
