'Zard Patton Ka Bann' To Be Performed In Karachi

Theatre Wallay (TW) would perform its latest production 'Zard Patton Ka Bann' at Pakistan American Cultural Center (PACC) in Karachi from April 7 to 8.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Mar, 2018 ) :Theatre Wallay (TW) would perform its latest production 'Zard Patton Ka Bann' at Pakistan American Cultural Center (PACC) in Karachi from April 7 to 8.

"Zard Paton Ka Ban" is a theatrical performance based on experiences and perceptions of public space and how public spaces are becoming increasingly inaccessible due to various reasons, said a press release.

It was developed in collaboration with theatre specialists from Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Ithaca College Department of Theatre Arts.The show went on a tour of the United States where Theater Wallay performed at the prestigious Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Artists Repertory Theatre Portland.

The team then rewrote the play in urdu for local audiences. This version has been performed in Islamabad to rave audience reviews, and is now on tour.
