Islamabad Football Super League From Feb 2

Eight top teams of the Capital will participate in Islamabad Football Super League, taking place in Islamabad from February 2, the organizers of the event announced on late Tuesday
"I believe the championship will not only provide a great chance to youngsters to show their skills and rise to prominence but it will also entertain the football lovers," President of the Football Federation (PFF), Syed Ashfaq Hussain said at the kits distribution ceremony for the event.
The ceremony was held here at a local hotel under the supervision of Islamabad Football Association (IFA) in collaboration with CBR Housing Society.
The eight teams scheduled to feature in the League include Rover Club, Akbar Club, Mehran Club, Huma Club, CDA Club, Ravi Club, Evergreen Club and Islamabad academy Club.
Ashfaq said the federation was determined to promote the game of football in the country and for that an all-out effort would be made to bring the actual football on ground.
"We've to develop football right from the grassroots level till the top. It is not like sitting in the offices and talking from there. We will go into the field to bring football on ground in actual sense," he said.
Vice president PFF MNA Aamir Dogar speaking on the occasion said that Pakistan had no dearth of talent and he was sure that the League would help unearth several talented players. "Islamabad has become a big hub of football activities and the credit for that goes to IFA, which is working candidly to promote the game" he said.
Vice presidents Zahir Shah, Naveed Haider, PFF Acting Secretary Syed Sharafat, CBRHousing Society President Altaf Ahmed were also present on the occasion.
