Jangal Khail Kohat Upset NWA To Enter Into Tabdeele Football Cup Final

Star-studded Jangal Khan Kohat entered into the grand final after recording a thrilling 2-1 victory against strong North Waziristan Agency in first semi-final being played here at jam-packed Tehmas Khan Football Stadium on Monday
Minister for Information Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shoukat Yousafzai was the chief guest on this occasion and before the start of the match the players of the two top teams Jangal Khail Kohat and North Waziristan Agency were introduced to him. MPA Rabia Basri, Chairman organizing committee Shahid Khan, former Pakistan football team skippers � Najeeb Ullah NajmiGohar Zaman, Basit Kamal, and large number of spectators were also present.
The match started on fast tempo and it was North Waziristan Agency right winger Mustafa slammed in a beautiful goal through field attempt. Mushtafa got a free ball from his mid-fielder Yasir and zoomed quickly toward the danger zone and netted a fine goal to make the tally 1-0.
After taking lead North Waziristan Agency, having support of the cheering spectators, put in more pressure to double the lead but failed because of the excellent goal-keeper of national team goal-keeper Jaffar Khan who saved three easy goal-scoring chances.
When Jangal Khail Kohat conceding the goal, they quickly managed their position according to the situation and made some good rallies of attacks. Jangal Khail Kohat have the services of national team players comprising international players like Amir, Azhar, Ghani, Mansoor and Rasool Khan and goal-keeper Jaffar Khan soon succeeded in leveling the tally when Rasool dispatched a nice kick from the long distance. It was superb goal that did not give much chance to North Waziristan goal-keeper to intercept. At half-time both Jangal Khail Kohat and North Waziristan Agency were tied 1-1.
It was the second session in which Jangal Khail Kohat kept up more pressure to take the lead. It was a good combine move this time Mansoor netted a fine goal through field attempt.
Mansoor made a combine attack with inners Ghazi and Amir and zoomed quickly toward the goal-post where he slammed in a superb goal to make the tally 2-1.
After 10-minute Rasool also got another chance of scoring but this time his left foot attempt was nicely intercepted by NWA goal-keeper while diving to his left. Former Pakistan team skipper and goal-keeper Jaffar Khan also played well for Jangal Khail Kohat and did not allow any forwards of NWA to level the tally 2-2. Thus Jangal Khail won the match by 2-1. Muhammad Amin (Swat), Zeeshan, Abid, Ikram Ullah, Dilawar supervised the match while Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah acted as match commissioner.
The second semi-final will be played on Tuesday with Peshawar Youth and defending champion Shinwari Stori will clash each other.
Speaking on this occasion, Minister for Information Shoukat Yousafzai lauded the organizing committee for holding such a big event in which teams from across Pakistan are taking part. He eulogizes the way such a good number of spectators turned up to see football match. "It is good to see such a big crowd for football and certainly it would give a good message that peace has been restored to Peshawar and the rest of the country," Shoukat Yousafzai added.
He said presence of international footballers in City and such a good and jam-packed spectator's fence mean that international players of other games would also come to Peshawar.
He said it was really surprisingly that there is a common opinion that the game of cricket attracts more crowds but looking after such enthusiastic spectators in football mean the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also love to see the game of football as well.
He appreciated Shahid Khan Shinwari for organizing football event of being a former international footballer in the city. He said Chief Minister KP Mahmood Khan specially asked all the Ministers and Members of Provincial Assembly to pay visit to Tabdeele Football Cup and that is why a good number of Ministers and MNAs and MPAs paid their visit.
