Indus River System Authority releases 200,800cusecs water

The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Monday released 200,800 cusecs water from its various rim stations with inflow of 134,600 cusecs.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Sep, 2018 ) :The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Monday released 200,800 cusecs water from its various rim stations with inflow of 134,600 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1511.58 feet.

Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 59,700 cusecs while outflow as 120,000 cusecs.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1169.15 feet, which was 129.15 feet higher than its dead level of 1,040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 9,100 cusecs and 15,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 137,600, 116,600 and 32,400 cusecs respectively.

Similarly from the Kabul River, 10,200 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 42,000 cusecs from the Chenab River at Marala.
