Shipping Activity At Port Qasim 02 May 2019

Four ships Mol Gateway, Red Fin, White Purl and Gaslog Sarataoga carrying Containers, Coal, LPG and LNG were arranged berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal, Pakistan International Bulk Terminal, SSGC Terminal and Pakistan Gasport Consortium Terminal respectively on Wednesday
While two more ships Xia Men Ze Ping and Equinox Dawn carrying General Cargo and Coal also arrived at Outer anchorage of Port Qasim.
A total of ten ships were occupying PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Cement, Coal, Canola Seeds, LPG LNG and Palm oil respectively.
Out of them, three ships Maersk Seletar, MOL Gateway and APL New York sailed out to sea on Thursday morning and two more ships MR Pegsus and Gaslog Saratatoga were expected to sail on the same day in the afternoon respectively.
Cargo handling continued to witness upward trend at the Port at 202,503 tonnes, comprising 152,039 tonnes imports cargo and 50,464 tonnes expert cargo, inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 3,937 Containers (TEUs), (1,281 TEUs imports and 2,656 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port during the last 24 hours.
Five ships Maersk Brooklyin, lucapel, Xia Men Ze Ping, Pisti and IVS Windsor carrying Containers, General cargo and Coal are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-1, PIBT and PQEPT respectively on Thursday.
While Container vessel, As Aries' was due to arrive at Port Qasim on the same day, and another ship, Maersk Salina with containers is due to arrive on Friday.
