Punjab Healthcare Commission Closes Down 115 Clinics Of Quacks, FIRs Registered

During the second week of the crackdown against quacks,the Punjab Healthcare Commission has closed down another 115 businesses of quacks within two days while nine FIRs were also registered against owners of eight medical stores and a laboratory for practicing quackery and violating the relevant rules.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2018 ) :During the second week of the crackdown against quacks,the Punjab Healthcare Commission has closed down another 115 businesses of quacks within two days while nine FIRs were also registered against owners of eight medical stores and a laboratory for practicing quackery and violating the relevant rules.
Three FIRs were registered in Sialkot, two each in Pakpattan and Bahawalpur, one each in Toba Tek Singh and Nankana Sahab against owners of medical stores and a laboratory,respectively.
The PHC teams visited 355 treatment centres and closed down 115 businesses since these were found to be run by quacks.
The action was taken in different areas of 13 districts, including Toba Tek Singh, Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Nankana Sahab, Sialkot, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Mandi Bahauddin, Bhakkar, Rawalpindi and Lahore. The PHC teams are being accompanied by officials of the district administration and police.
