AJK PM Urges Int'l Community To Take Notice Of Indian Atrocities

MIRPUR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -24th Sep,2016) : AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan Saturday said the Indian forces were involved in crimes against humanity in occupied Kashmir. Talking to journalists here, Raja Farooq Haider expressed concern over the grave situation in the occupied Kashmir and called for an immediate cessation of Indian oppression and atrocities.
He said the Indian brutalities in Occupied Kashmir had showed its most horrendous face in the wake of the cold-blooded murder of the Kashmiri youth leader, Burhan Muzaffar Wani. He said over 100 innocent civilians have lost their lives, while more than 8000 are injured due to use of pallet guns and brute force by Indian occupation forces.
To a question, AJK Prime Minister said Pakistan was committed to extending moral, political and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmir. Kashmiris and Pakistan, he said, believed that the solution to the Kashmir dispute lay with abiding by United Nations resolutions according to the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
Raja Farooq Haider termed the unleashing of terror by the Indian forces on innocent Kashmiris barbaric, saying that such brutal acts could not silence their voice for their just cause of freedom and right to self-determination.
He reiterated his government 's determination to stand in solidarity with the Kashmiri brothers who were suffering at the hands of occupation forces. He urged the international community to take notice of Indian atrocities and human rights violations, particularly firing of pellets on innocent youth, children and women in Indian-held Kashmir.
The supreme sacrifices rendered by the people of Held Kashmir for their just cause of gaining the right to self-determination would not go waste, he added. Praising the role of Kashmiri media in highlighting the cause of Kashmir, he said the AJK government would utilize all resources for highlighting the human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.
To another question, Prime Minister said the democratic government in AJK believed in freedom of expression and would continue to support the development of the media industry in the State. Earlier, Member of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly from Mirpur city constituency Ch.Muhammad Saeed called on Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider at Kashmir House on Saturday.
Issues of Mirpur city and party matters came under discussion in the meeting. The Prime Minister assured the member assembly that all pending issues of the city would be resolved shortly.
