ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Nov, 2016 ) : The workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday clashed with each other in their attempt to go towards stage where the sitting arrangements for party leadership were made.
According to details, the organizers of the gathering made arrangements, in consultation with policemen, for safe movement of PTI leaders towards stage at a height of about 25 feet. But the organizers totally failed to ensure it and PTI workers made efforts to storm towards stage which were successfully intervened by the policemen and law enforcers deputed there.
Initially, stage of PTI was found over crowded with PTI workers and several PTI leaders also found it difficult to make it onto the main stage.
Likewise, few women at female enclosure quarreled with each other who were later stopped by the lady policemen deputed there.
Various entry points were made towards parade ground for the participants but they seemed reluctant to follow them. Policemen and other security personnel seemed guiding them for entrance towards venue after passing the walk through gates and checking by metal detectors.
The personnel of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) managed parking of vehicles at the specified lots and guided the road users on alternative routes. Many of the citizens going to their homes after jobs remained stuck in traffic jam created by those coming to attend the gathering.
