Drama Festival Kicks Off On 25th

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Oct, 2017 ) :The three-day drama festival on the theme of peace, tolerance and harmony will start from October 25 (Wednesday) at Alhamra, the Mall to promote peace, and harmony in the country.

school education Minister will inaugurate the drama festival at 5 p.m at Alhamra, The Mall. According to a press release, some 40 public and private schools will take part in the festival, being held under the collaboration of Unique Group of Education and Punjab School Education department.

About 14 teams will perform on the first day of drama festival between 5 pm to 9 pm at Hall No. 1 and 2. The purpose of this festival was to create awareness among students at a tender age to free the country of the menace of intolerance and discord.

Renowned actors, writers, intellectuals and politicians will be among the guests including Syed Noor, Irfan Khoosat, Rashid Mehmood, Orangzaib Laghari, Sohail Warraich, Nirwaan Nadeem, Imran Bajwa and Sugra Sadaf.

The drama festival will close with award night and a musical evening on October 27 (Friday) with Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Excise and Taxation Minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, AJK Transport Minister Nasir Hussain Dar and Mayor Lahore Mubashir Javed.
