Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) celebrated with traditional zeal, fervour

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Nov, 2018 ) :Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) was celebrated across the country on Wednesday with religious zeal and fervour as thousands came out on roads in processions to mark the auspicious occasion.

Processions were taken out in all major cities and towns, including Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Hyderabad, Sargodha and Bahawalpur.

Special prayers were offered in mosques for the peace, progress and prosperity of the country. Religious scholars shed light on the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

In Lahore, the main procession of Eid Milad-un-Nabi was taken out from the railway station which ended outside the Data Darbar after passing through traditional routes of Shah Alam Chowk, Anarkali and Lahori Gate. The main procession was organized by Jashne-e-Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) Ceremonies Central Committee. A large number of people from all walks of life participated in the procession.

The people decorated and illuminated homes and bazaars, set up 'Sabeels' and also distributed 'Langar' (free food). Beautiful replicas of 'Khana-e-Ka'aba' and Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH) were also displayed in bazaars.

In Rawalpindi, Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) was celebrated amid tight security arrangements as over 4000 policemen were deployed.

All the roads, streets and main buildings in the city and cantonment areas were decorated beautifully with colourful lights and buntings. Different Naat committees organized competitions. Around 350 Eid Milad-un-Nabi processions were taken out from different parts of the city.

Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) was celebrated across Balochistan, including Quetta, Khuzdar, Kalat, Mastung, Noshki, Chaghi, Kharan, Killa Saifullah, Killa Abdullah, Loralai, Harnai, Ziarat, Pishin, Lasbella and other areas of province.

Special processions were taken out across the province to celebrate the birth of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Around 13 processions were brought out in Quetta city. The central procession was taken from the city's Saryab Road, which culminated at Meezan Chowk after passing through its traditional routes of Shahr-e-Iqbal and Liaqat Bazaar.

Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) was also celebrated in Multan, where special programmes including processions, Milads, seminars and Mahafil-e-Naats were organized. The main procession was taken out from Hamid Shah Mosque, which concluded at the same place in the evening after marching on various roads. Different small processions were also taken out to mark the day.

Elsewhere in Multan district, Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) was observed with great enthusiasm.

In Sargodha district, Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) processions were taken out by the people and religious parties amid tight security arrangements. Buildings were decorated and illuminated with colourful lights and flags which were printed with Quranic verses and slogans welcoming birthday of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

Special programmes were held at mosques to celebrate the day. Social and religious organizations organized Milad gatherings on the occasion.
