Five-day Workshop Conclude In UoP

PESHAWAR, Jan 3 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Jan, 2017 ) : A five-day workshop concluded Tuesday in University of Peshawar titled "Resolution of disputes and promotion of peace". The workshop was arranged by Peace and Conflict Studies Department with the collaboration of UNDP which was attended by 120 professionals of the university.

The role of civil societies was highlighted in the workshop regarding the supremacy of law in KP and FATA. The Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Dr Rasool Jan in concluding ceremony stressed on the youth particularly literate people to play a vital role in maintenance of peace.

Director Peace and Conflict Studies Dr Jamil Chitrali also highlighted the efforts made by the department regarding peace and prosperity in the society. Later, the VC Dr Rasool Jan distributed cirtificates among the participants. APP/ash/rn
