Food outlets penalised in Gujrat

GUJRAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Sep, 2025) On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Gujrat Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi, Punjab Food Authority (PFA) teams inspected various food outlets and dairy units in the district and imposed fines over hygiene violations.

According to a PFA spokesman, a private marquee in Kathala was fined Rs 20,000 for poor cleanliness, substandard arrangements, and use of expired food items. A cooking center in Ghazi Chak was penalized Rs 15,000 for similar violations. A dairy shop on Shadiwal Road was fined Rs 15,000 for supplying substandard milk, while a bakery at Hariyawala Chowk faced a Rs 15,000 penalty for violations.

Moreover, a food point at GT Road bypass was fined Rs 10,000 for unhygienic practices and failing to follow proper food preparation standards.
