Ground breaking ceremony of construction of a bridge over river Indus connecting Kallur Kot in district Bhakkar with Dera Ismail Khan will be held on Saturday
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jan, 2018 ) :Ground breaking ceremony of construction of a bridge over river Indus connecting Kallur Kot in district Bhakkar with Dera Ismail Khan will be held on Saturday.
The ceremony will be held in Kallur Kot. The much awaited project will significantly reduce the distance between D.I.Khan and Sarghoda.
Presently people of the area either use the road through Chasma barrage or Darya Khan bridge to cross the river.
Both the routes are almost 100 km long consuming around 2 hrs. The new bridge will reduce the distance between Kallur Kot and D.I.Khan to less than 30 km and saving travel time. The project will cost about Rs. 2.985 billion and will be cimpleted in two years. The better connectivity will surely lead to the economic uplift of the entire area known for various agriculture products.
