KP IGP Muhammad Tahir Assumes Charge

Muhammad Tahir assumed the charge of Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at a ceremony held at Central Police Office Peshawar on Thursday.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Jun, 2018 ) :Muhammad Tahir assumed the charge of Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at a ceremony held at Central Police Office Peshawar on Thursday.
On arrival at the police headquarters he was received by DIG Operations. A smart contingent of police presented guard of honour to him.
On this occasion he also laid a wreath on Yadgar-e-Shuhadda police at CPO and offered Fateha for the police martyred. Later, presiding over an introductory meeting of high ranking police officers posted in CPO he said "We must stand up as a team and every one has to contribute to see the force successful in this testing time".
He emphasized upon police officials to be loyal to the state and focused on job and everything should be done in a very transparent and ordinary manner, adding that KP Police must come up to the attached expectations of the general public through better service delivery.
He also paid tribute to the precious sacrifices of the force by saying that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police were brave and committed force and had written the golden history of police with their blood.
"I am proud to lead this force and we must learn from their sacrifices by exhibiting valour, courage, devotion to duty and contribute for betterment of the society," remarked the IGP.
He added that all police officers and officials need hard work, sincerity, integrity and total commitment to followthe footprints of the great police heroes who laid their lives for the protection of motherland.
He assured that every individual would be valued for his best efforts and meaningful contribution for the force.
