Landslide Kills Eight Labourers Of Dasu Hydro Power Project

At least eight labourers of Dasu Hydro Power Project Kohistan on Tuesday lost their lives when the van they were travelling in came under a landslide at Zero Point of the project at Karakoram Highway (KKH)

KOHISTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jan, 2019 ) :At least eight labourers of Dasu Hydro Power Project Kohistan on Tuesday lost their lives when the van they were travelling in came under a landslide at Zero Point of the project at Karakoram Highway (KKH).

Locals, Kohistan administration personnel, police and Dasu Hydro Power Project workers retrieved the bodies of the ill-fated labourers from the big chunk of the earth with heavy equipment.

The labourers were on way back from duty when they were hit by the landslide. After completion of legal formalities at hospital, Kohistan police handed over the dead bodies to their families.

The dead labourers belonged to Jalkot area were identified as Hujjat Meer s/o Ameer, Soon Zar s/o Sobat Rehman, Muhammad Ghani son of Wazir, Azam Riaz s/o Muhammad Nadan, Abdul Malik s/oMuhammad Khalid, Malook Shah s/o Daud, Sai fur Rehman s/o Mansoor andShabeer Ahmed s/o Daud.
