Literary Week 2016 Begins At UET Peshawar

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Dec, 2016 ) : Literary Week 2016 begins at UET Peshawar organized by the Literary and Debating Society (LDS), University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar here on Monday.
Different competitions will be held during the event including �Naat Competition, Qirat Competition, Declamation Contest, Stage Drama, Quiz completion, Bait Bazi and Essay Writing. Dr. Khizar Azam, Registrar UET Peshawar was the chief guest on the opening ceremony.
Dr. Khizar Azam, Registrar in his speech urged the students to use their academic years to develop interpersonal skills so that when they enter into practical life, they should be able to keep themselves in step with modern trends.
He said that in today's difficult situation, such thought-provoking activities are the key to a healthier, more positive environment for our youth, and such creativity holds key to their better future.
He also appreciated the efforts of Dr. Ashfaq Khan, Advisor LDS, Dr. Naveed Ahmed, Director Clubs, Kaleem Ullah Khan, President LDS, Itizaz Adil, Vice President LDS and their team for organizing such event.
Different Universities and colleges including University of Peshawar, Agriculture University, FAST University, CECOSE University, Islamia College, Edwards College Peshawar, Peshawar Model, ICMS and others are participating in the event.
