Minister Admires Professional Expertise Of Rescuers

Provincial Minister for Disaster Management Mian Khalid Mehmood admired the coordination, working and professional expertise of rescuers.

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Oct, 2018 ) :Provincial Minister for Disaster Management Mian Khalid Mehmood admired the coordination, working and professional expertise of rescuers.

Addressing a concluding ceremony of the 7th National Rescue Challenge, at Emergency Service academy here on Friday, the minister said that he himself witnessed an excellent professionalism of rescuers during accidents, flood and others disasters.

The minister said the government would address issues of the Rescue 1122 soon and assured that the Punjab emergency Service would be extended to all remaining tehsils of Punjab, especially of south Punjab.

He also expressed his deep gratitude over successful completion of National Rescue Challenge and congratulated DG Rescue Punjab Dr Rizwan Naseer and his team for devotion and continuous struggle towards ensuring a Safer Pakistan.

District Emergency Services Rahim Yar Khan won the 7th National Rescue Challenge while Gujranwala bagged the second position while the University of Lahore secured the third position in the competition. A total of 14 teams from Punjab, Gilgit Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Rescue Wardens from Sialkot and University of Lahore participated in seven challenges Earlier, an International delegates led by Secretary General of African-Asian Rural Development Organization Eng Wassfi Hassan El-Sreihin also visited Emergency Services Academy providing training to all provinces of the Pakistan. They also witnessed different events of the National Rescue Challenge.
