PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Augst,2016) : The Federal Government through successful actions under National Action Plans (NAP) has foiled the propaganda of supporters of militants and terrorists and exposed their actual faces before masses, said Member Provincial Assembly, Rushad Khan on Friday. "The successful actions and operations of the Government and law enforcement agencies under National Action Plan (NAP) have isolated terrorists by reducing space for them to reorganize and operate freely," Rushad Khan told APP. Commenting on the decisions taken during highly meeting chaired by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, the other day about security following Quetta bombing, the MPA welcomed the Government's decision for formation of high level task force to monitor progress on the National Action Plan, saying it reflected the sincerity and strong determination of PML-N Government to wipe out terrorism and bring durable peace in the country. He said improvement in level of communication and consultations among intelligence and security agencies would make very positive and for reaching results. Rushad Khan said propaganda of supporters of terrorists and militants were totally rejected by people of Pakistan and these anti peace elements are now hiding faces from masses as they were kept isolated. The tragic incident of Army Public school in Peshawar in December 16, 2014, set a new direction for the nation in the war against terror and immensely helped restore peace across the country, especially in militancy affected Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA for which whole credit goes to Federal Government. Rushad Khan said great responsibilities lied on the shoulders of media to discourage supporters of terrorists for coverage.
Also great responsibilities also lied on shoulders of religious scholars to highlight the soft image of islam and promote true message of religion that is peace, respect to humanity, tolerance, mercy and brotherhood.
He said terrorists were on the run to safe their skins as the successful Operation Zarb-e-Azb has broken their back. Khan said NAP has provided a comprehensive framework, strategy and guidelines to the nation and law enforcement agencies to exterminate menace of terrorism. Owing to present Government's effective strategy under the NAP, the incidents of terrorism have been significantly reduced while the overall law and order situation improved in the country. Rushad Khan said the perpetrators of terrorists attack on innocent people in Civil Hospital Quetta deserve no mercy as they have no regards for religion and humanity. Khan said successful implementation of the NAP and timely actions by the Government and law enforcement agencies saved settled areas of KP from becoming safe heavens for terrorists. He said soon after the formation of PML-N Government in Centre, the decisive anti-terror operation Zarb-e-Azb was started in North Waziristan, there was a fear that terrorists would escape to settle areas of KP and people of this province would be the first targets of militancy and terrorism. However, he said the brave police and security forces accepted this biggest challenge and successfully defeated them.
He paid tributes to sacrifices of personnel of law enforcement agencies and police who stood up before terrorists like a solid rock and defeated them at their strongholds. Owing to successful anti terrorism operations and matchless sacrifices by our security forces and civilians, law and order situation has significantly improved in the country especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Karachi. The great hustle and bustle that we are witnessing today in bazaars and markets on occasion of Independence Day is due to supreme sacrifices of our security forces who laid down their lives for better and safe future of coming generation.
