Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 15th December, 2018) The year 2018 saw many weddings in Pakistan but a few became the talk of the town as people were highly interested in these couples.
We have made a list of the most hyped weddings of 2018:
1. Imran Khan and Bushra Maneka
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan tied the knot with Bushra Bibi in February this year.
Mufti Saeed, a member of the PTI core committee, solemnized the marriage in a simple ceremony in Lahore.
Although the Nikkah was kept low-key, the third marriage of Imran Khan came as a breaking news. What’s more interesting was that his third wife Bushra Bibi is a spiritual lady and wears a veil.
This made Bushra Bibi the most Googled personality in Pakistan in 2018.
2. Feroze Khan and Alizay Fatima
The young and handsome actor of Pakistan, Feroze Khan got hitched in March this year.
Feroze aka Mir Hadi had become a national crush after the much grossing tv drama ‘Khaani’ was aired on Geo TV.
Hashtag #Ferozedaveyah kept trending on Instagram and pictures of Feroze and his bride Alizay Fatima were all over the space. Like Khaani, Feroze chose a simple and natural beauty in his real life too to tie the knot to.
Since his marriage, he has been giving some major couple goals.
3. Aisha Khan and Major Uqbah
Renowned actress Aisha Khan got married to Major Uqbah Hadid in April month after bidding farewell to the showbiz industry.
After Aisha Khan announced to quit the entertainment industry, there were rumours on social media that the actress would soon get married that’s why she left showbiz.
However, she later shared the pictures of her fiancé on Instagram, verifying the rumours.
Aisha’s husband Major Uqbah Hadeed is a senior officer of the Pakistan Army. He graduated from the British Royal Military academy is the first Pakistani appointed by the institute to impart military training to its young cadets.
The pictures from their wedding were widely shared as the two made a beautiful couple.
4. Aamir Liaquat and Tuba Anwar
The revelation by religious scholar and renowned TV host Dr Aamir Liaquat of his second marriage to his young and beautiful Bol News colleague Tuba Anwar came as a shock to many.
Aamir Liaquat got married in Karachi in November. The reception was attended by many political personalities, including Sindh Governor Imran Ismail.
Since their wedding, the couple has been making appearances on various TV shows, becoming a talk of the town.
While people are still confused over how to react to the wedding, the couple looks extremely happy together.
5. Aiman Khan and Muneeb Butt
Finally, TV actors Aiman Khan and Muneeb Butt’s wedding in December was the much talked about wedding of the year.
Aiman Khan and Muneeb Butt’s wedding was one lengthy affair as they had a variety of wedding functions, including Dholki, Bridal Shower, Nikkah, Lollywood themed party, Mayyon, Mehndi, Baraat and finally Walima.
It was called the longest wedding of the year and the hype surrounding it irritated many. Nonetheless, the two looked absolutely gorgeous and set the bar high for Pakistani weddings.
