Two-day Int'l Seerat Conference To Commence From Tuesday: Noor-ul-Haq Qadri

A two-day International Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference titled 'Finality of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and responsibilities of Muslims in light of teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH)' would commence in the federal capital from Tuesday (Nov 20), Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sahibzada Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said here on Friday.
Talking to media persons he said Prime Minister Imran Khan would preside over the inaugural session of the conference while concluding day proceedings would be presided over by President Dr Arif Alvi.
He said various religious scholars, ulema and Mashaikh from Egypt, Morroco, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE) would highlight the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
He said prizes would be distributed among religious scholars, authors of Seerat books in various categories. Parliamentarians, ulema, religious scholars, ambassadors, deans of universities and people from all walks of life has already invited to attend the conference.
He said the Religious Ministry has chalked out a series of events to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) during the entire year.
Radio Pakistan, Pakistan Television Corporation (ptv) have organized Na'at reciting programme on November 19. International Qirat competition has been organized by the ministry in Memon Masjid, Karachi on November 17. International Qura would participate in the competition.
Likewise, another Sufi conference has been organized at Governor House, Lahore on November 18. International Interfaith Conference has already been organized in Lahore in December. Prominent scholars including Imam Ka'aba, religious scholars from Egypt and Iran would attend the conference. Religious scholars of Christian, Hindu, Bahai and other communities including Pope had been invited to attend the conference.
Responding to a question, he said the government was planning to launch a campaign in collaboration with saner element in Europe and other countries to avoid desecrating the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and other Anbia-e-Karam (AS).
The campaign will focus on teaching the people of other religions to respect their Rasool and Anbia-e-Karam (AS).
