Federal Minister for Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir Affairs Chaudhry Muhammad Barjees Tahir on Wednesday said that well organized education system is playing crucial role in the progress and prosperity of the country
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Sep, 2017 ) : Federal Minister for Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir Affairs Chaudhry Muhammad Barjees Tahir on Wednesday said that well organized education system is playing crucial role in the progress and prosperity of the country.
In a statement, he said that educational institutions are playing important role in the society, adding that nobody can stop progress of a society which keenly educates its citizens. Addressing participants of Literary Festival at Karakoram International University, Gilgit-Balistan, he said that poet, writers, journalists and scholars are asset of the nation, which reforms the world socially, politically and economically.
He said that it is very important for the progress and prosperity of the country to come back towards books. The minister lauded Gilgit-Baltistan government for organizing literary festival, saying that they followed the vision of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
He said that establishment of academy in Gilgit-Baltistan would play crucial role in the promotions of local languages. Earlier, speaking at inaugural ceremony of Gilgit-Baltistan Council office, he said that a full fledged university and medical college would be established in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The minister said that the development project initiated in G-B would be timely completed. He said that a constitution reforms committee was established in Gilgit-Baltistan. He said that the present government has completed a record development projects in various areas of Gilgit-Baltistan.
He said that present government has established three new districts in Gilgit-Baltistan, adding that work also in progress on Skardu road.
