Women Of Rural Areas Most Deprived: Shehla Raza

Sindh Minister for Women Development Syeda Shehla Raza Tuesday said that the women of rural areas were most deprived and facing inequalities.
KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Oct, 2018 ) :Sindh Minister for Women Development Syeda Shehla Raza Tuesday said that the women of rural areas were most deprived and facing inequalities.
Addressing a ceremony in connection with International Rural Women's Day organized by Badin Women Development Association and district management Badin at Gymkhana hall, she said the observance of the day aimed at reducing miseries of women of rural areas across the world with the message of rights of women, a press release issued here said.
She said PPP-led Sindh government was striving hard to improve status of women of rural areas of the province and in this regard the government had taken many steps.
The minister said women were being financially assisted by the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
Shehla Raza said the government would establish women complaint centers for resolving issues of women.
Among others, Deputy Commissioner Badin Asif Jan Siddiqui, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Badin Hassan Sardar Niazi and Dr.
Khalida Sikander Mandhro were also present.
