'Run Faisalabad Run' Marathon Held

Tayyab, Amaan Fatima and Rahmat won marathon race in their categories, here on Thursday
FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Mar, 2023 ) :Tayyab, Amaan Fatima and Rahmat won marathon race in their categories, here on Thursday.
The district administration arranged marathon race in three categories under a title of "Run Faisalabad Run Marathon" in connection with Jashan-e-Baharan celebrations.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ali Annan Qamar inaugurated the open marathon race by hoisting flag near Kashmir Bridge Canal Road.
This race started from Kashmir Bridge Canal Road and more than 650 athletes participated in it. They covered a distance of 8 kilometer up to Iqbal Stadium by passing through various roads and intersections including Faisal Hospital, Abdullahpur, Station Chowk, Chenab Club Chowk, Serena Hotel Road and Bilal Masjid Road.
Similarly, more than 150 athletes participated in Girls Marathon and Under-14 Marathon races which started from Chenab Club Chowk and the participants reached at Iqbal Stadium.
According to results, Mr. Tayyab got first in open category while Amaan Fatima stood first in girls' category and Rahmat remained topper in Under-14 category.
Deputy Commissioner also presented cash prize of Rs.20,000 to winner of open category while Rs.15,000 and Rs.10,000 were distributed among toppers of girls' and U-14 categories respectively.
