DUBAI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Oct 1st, 2025) Pakistan’s young batting all-rounder Saim Ayub has become the world’s No.1 T20 all-rounder, surpassing India’s Hardik Pandya, as per the latest player rankings released by the International cricket Council (ICC).
The update shows Pandya sliding to second place, while Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi dropped to third.
In the batting charts, India’s Abhishek Sharma retained his top position. Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan made impressive progress, climbing 11 places to 13th. Meanwhile, senior Pakistani batters lost ground: Babar Azam slipped to 37th, Mohammad Rizwan to 41st, and Saim Ayub himself dropped to 57th despite his all-round ranking success.
Fakhar Zaman, however, gained six spots to reach 60th.
Among bowlers, India’s Varun Chakravarthy held firm at No.1. Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed dropped to 7th after losing three spots, while Shaheen Afridi surged 12 places to joint 13th. Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf slid down to 33rd.
The latest rankings highlight Pakistan’s mixed performance—Saim Ayub’s historic rise to the top among all-rounders contrasted by declines for several senior players.
