The third edition of the Mrs, Saad Shaheed Women Twnety20 Cricket Cup is commencing under the aegis of Directorate of Youth Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Malik Saad Shaheed Sports Trust here at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Cricket ground from November 20
PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Nov, 2017 ) :The third edition of the Mrs, Saad Shaheed Women Twnety20 cricket Cup is commencing under the aegis of Directorate of Youth Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Malik Saad Shaheed Sports Trust here at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Cricket ground from November 20.
This was stated by Organizing Secretary of the Cup Miss Maria Samin while talking to APP here on Friday. All arrangements in this connection have already been done in time so that due opportunities would be given to the female cricketers of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Maria Samina disclosed that Vice Chancellor Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Professor Dr Razia Sultana will grace the occasion as the colourful opening ceremony while Director General Sports Junaid Khan and Director General Youth Asfandyar Khan Khattak will the chief guest at the closing ceremony.
He said three teams from Peshawar comprising Peshawar Green, Malik Saad and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, and one team each from Abbbottabad, Haripur, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Kohat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan are taking part.
She said the winner and runners up team would be awarded Rs 0.
2 million. The ground and pitch have been prepared well. She also appreciated the Vice Chancellor Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Professor Dr Razia Sultana for taking keen interest in provision of health sports activities to the female students and female of the other districts.
Professor Dr Razia Sultana has directed her to extend all-out support to the students of all the affiliated colleges so that they could actively participate in sports activities. She said the Inter-College Girls Competition will be started from November 25, and will continue till March next year wherein the girls would take part in 15 different games.
Maria Samin also lauded Director General Youth Asfandyar Khan Khattak and Secretary General Malik Saad Shaheed Sports Trust Amjad Aziz Malik for providing ample opportunities to the girls to come up at national and international levels.
She said the last year performers of the First Mrs. Saad Shaheed Women Twenty20 Cricket Cup two women cricketers were short-listed for the national camp. If provided due opportunities to the female players of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa they would excel more at national level, she concluded.
