Galayat Receives First Snowfall Of Winter Season

The scenic Galayat valleys on Wednesday received first snowfall of the ongoing winter season.

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Nov, 2018 ) :The scenic Galayat valleys on Wednesday received first snowfall of the ongoing winter season.

Nathiagali, Ayubia , Thandiyani and others adjoining areas received more than four inches snow which is still continue.

After snowfall and heavy downpour which continued from last night and resultantly the temperatures in Hazara division decreased whereas in hilly areas it remained below zero.

Galyat Development Authority (GDA) has also issued advisory for the tourists and locals to avoid unnecessary travel as the road is slippery after continuous snowfall and rain and use iron chain during the travel in Galyat while it's snowing.

A large number of tourists reached in Galyat to enjoy the snowfall while some people rush to soup, fish and other winter delicacies shops to enjoy the chilling weather in Abbottabad.

Other hilly areas of Hazara including Kaghan, Naran, Babusar Top have also received snowfall since last night where more than 6 inches snow has been recorded.

According to Met Department, rain is expected at scattered places in Hazara division and snowfall over the hills is also expected in Gillyat within next 24 hours.
