Rain Likely In Various Parts Of Country: PMD

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Thursday indicated chances of rain-wind-thundershower in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Sindh and eastern Balochistan

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Sep, 2021 ) :Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Thursday indicated chances of rain-wind-thundershower in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Sindh and eastern Balochistan.

While isolated heavy falls are also expected during the period.

According to the synoptic situation,monsoon currents were penetrating upper and central parts of the country.

A westerly wave was also affecting upper parts of the country.

The rainfall (mm) recorded during the last 24 hours was Punjab: Jhelum 69 mm, Lahore (Shahdara 42, Misri Shah 33, Shahi Qila 28, Mughalpura 19, Lakshmi 18, City 13, Gulshan e Ravi 12, Tajpura 04, Samanabad 03, Johar Town, Iqbal Town, Gulberg 02, Township, Upper Mall 01), Kasur 57, Multan (Airport, City) 36, Sahiwal 36, Mangla 28, Bahawalpur (AP, City) 17, Okara 16, Hafizabad 11, Gujrat 09, Faisalabad 08, Bhakkar 07, Layyah 06, Bahawalnagar 05, Sialkot (City 03, AP 01), Gujranwala, Chakwal 03, Mandi Bahauddin Din 02, Khanewal 01, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Parachinar 34, Dera Ghazi Khan (City 14, AP 09), Dir (Lower 11, Upper 03), Saidu Sharif 02, Malamjabba 01, Sindh: Chachro 15, Mithi 14, Thatta 02, Chhor 01, Gilgit Baltistan: Bunji 04, Bagrote 02, Astore 02, Babusar 01, Kashmir: Muzaffarabad 01, Balochistan: Barkhan 01.

The highest maximum temperatures recorded during the period were Turbat 41 C, Dadu and Dalbandin 39 C.
