Atta Ur Rahman

Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman was born in Mardan, NWFP on October 21, 1968. He was elected for his first term as MNA on an MMAP ticket. He is politically affiliated with the JIP. He has also served as president of JIP, NWFP and a member of the Central Council (shura). Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman received his masters degree from International Islamic University, Islamabad and later his Ph.D in Islamic Studies from Malaysia. He has served as a lecturer from 1994-1997 in faculty of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences at International Islamic University, Kuala Lampur, Malaysia; from 1997-1998 at Department of Arabic Language, University Putra, Malaysia and at Dawah Academy, International Islamic University, Islamabad from 1992-1994. Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman is also a member of the Young Parliamentarians Forum (YPF) of Pakistan.
