Mian Muhammad Munir

Mian Muhammad Munir son of Mian Fateh Muhammad was born on December 13, 1954 at Okara. He graduated in 2002 from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. An agriculturist and a businessman, who has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in general elections 2013 and is functioning as Parliamentary Secretary for Excise & Taxation. He remained Councillor, Municipal Committee Okara during 1987-91; as Chairman, Municipal Committee Okara during 1992-94. He served as Member, Board of Governors PCB during 1989-2011; as Manager, Pakistan Cricket Team during 1996-2011; as President, Lahore Divisional Cricket Association during 1989-2007; and as President, Multan Regional Cricket Association during 2008-11. He was also Vice President, Lawn Tennis Association Punjab during 2009-14. He has served as Executive Member of Farmers Association of Pakistan during 2009-13. He has extensively travelled abroad. His uncle, Mian Abdul Haq remained Member of National Assembly and also functioned as Parliamentary Secretary; his another uncle, Mian Ghulam Muhammad served as Member of Punjab Legislative Assembly during 1951-55; his cousin, Mian Muhammad Zaman, remained MNA and also functioned as Minister of State; his another cousin, Mian Muhammad Asghar, served as Member of Punjab Assembly during 2002-2007; and his nephew, Mian Yawar Zaman remained Member of Punjab Assembly during 2002-2007 and is functioning as Provincial Minister for Irrigation in current Assembly.
