Karachi Considers As City Of Lights, Hub Of Investment: National Assembly Speaker

Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said that Karachi was considered as city of lights and hub of investment therefore restoration of its lights was included in top priorities of the present government.
He expressed these views while talking to the members of the National Assembly of the MQM, Pakistan who called on him at Parliament House on Thursday, said a press release.
The members who attended the meeting were Iqbal Muhammad Ali, Usman Qadri and Saladuddin. Matters pertaining to issues of Karachi were discussed in the meeting.
The Speaker said that it is our collective responsibility to provide peaceful environment to business community. The Federal Government and provincial government of Sindh should play their role in resolving the problems of Karachi including Hyderabad.
He said that provision of clean drinking water and improvement of infrastructure of Karachi should be top priority of the government.
The participants of the delegation congratulated the Speaker on conducting the proceeding of the House amicably. They informed the Speaker about issues of clean drinking water and sewerage in Karachi and assured the Speaker their all out support in legislation process in the National Assembly.
The Speaker assured his full cooperation in resolving the problems of Karachi and Hyderabad. On this occasion he also committed to the delegation in arranging a meeting of MQM Pakistan with government in the next few days.
