Sindh University gears up efforts to seek NAEAC accreditation

The management of Sindh University (SU) has geared up efforts to seek accreditation with National Agriculture Accreditation Council (NAEAC) for its newly launched BS (4-year) programme of Nutrition and Food Technology at the Institute of Biochemistry

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jan, 2019 ) :The management of Sindh University (SU) has geared up efforts to seek accreditation with National Agriculture Accreditation Council (NAEAC) for its newly launched BS (4-year) programme of Nutrition and food Technology at the Institute of Biochemistry.

Apropos this advancement, a daylong awareness seminar was held on Tuesday at the Institute of Biochemistry with Chairman NAEAC Prof Dr Ishtiaq Rajwana, Pro Vice Chancellor Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University Multan as the keynote speaker.

Prof Dr Ishtiaq Rajwana in his presentation discussed in detail all necessary steps involved in the programme accreditation process.The quality assurance of all academic programmes by Higher education Commission Islamabad through respective accreditation councils was inevitably mandatory requirement, he observed.

The Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) SU, Prof Dr Shahzad Ahmed Memon delivered an exhaustive presentation on quality assurance procedures followed at the university, the measures adopted by the varsity to improve quality benchmarks and the recent reform initiatives launched under leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Fateh Muhammad Burfat.

Later, Prof Dr Ishtiaq Rajwana called on Vice Chancellor University of Sindh, Prof Dr Fateh Muhammad Burfat in his office where the two discussed academic and professional matters of mutual interest, with a special discourse spotlight on the significance and process of accreditation of academic and professional disciplines.
