AJK Prime Minister urges Kashmiri expatriates to highlight plights of Kashmiris

Prime Minister of Azad Jammu & Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan Tuesday called upon overseas Kashmiris to focus for playing pivotal role for highlighting Indian barbarities the world over through their high intellect and abilities.

Mirpur,AJK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2018 ) :Prime Minister of Azad Jammu & Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan Tuesday called upon overseas Kashmiris to focus for playing pivotal role for highlighting Indian barbarities the world over through their high intellect and abilities.

He was addressing workers of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Azad Kashmir at Bolton in North West of United Kingdom, says a message landing here Tuesday night. The AJK prime minister said a large number of Kashmiris especially those from AJK currently residing in UK and other countries of Europe can bring Kashmir issue back to UN agenda if they work with courage and determination.

Denouncing the large-scale human rights violations taking place in Indian Held Kashmir, Farooq urged the international community to help resolve the decades-old Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and protection of their fundamental rights.

Describing what happened to Asifa at Kathua as a crime against humanity, Haider asserted that culprits involved in the gruesome act must not go unpunished. He said if nothing else has opened the eyes of the international community as to the nature of the Indian occupation of Kashmir, this should serve as a wake-up call.

Appreciating April 18 joint protest in London by different political parties of Kashmir, AJK PM said there might be differences among the political leaders but on the Kashmir issue, all the leadership was united and there were no differences.

Prime Minister Haider also eulogized the untiring efforts of the members of UK Parliament of Kashmiri origin especially of Lord Nazir, Afzal Khan for highlighting the plights of the oppressed Kashmiri people within the parliament and outside.
