10 FIRs Registered On Pillion Riding Ban Violation

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th May, 2019 ) :Rawalpindi district police in their efforts to implement the pillion riding ban imposed by the Punjab government, registered 10 FIRs during last 24 hours.

According to a police spokesman, the pillion riding ban was imposed for motorcyclists on May 21 in Rawalpindi district for two weeks.

In order to curtail rising street crimes in Rawalpindi, the government had banned pillion riding from 7 pm to 7 am and the decision was taken in line with the recommendations sent by the Deputy Commissioner, Rawalpindi Muhammad Ali Randhawa.

He informed that Morgah Police registered four FIRs while Kalar Syedan police lodged two FIRs against the violators. Similarly, New Town, Saddar Wah, Gujar Khan and Saddar Baroni police registered four FIRs against pillion riding ban violators.
