Reacting to the news report, actor Osman Khalid Butt wondered what the girls should gift to the boys on the occasion.
Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 13th January, 2018) A university in Faisalabad has decided to celebrate ‘Sisters Day’ instead of Valentine’s Day on February 14.
According to details, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad has decided to celebrate Sisters Day on February 14 to promote eastern values and Islamic culture.
University of Agriculture Vice Chancellor Dr Zafar Iqbal Randhawa in his statement said that we are promoting our culture, values and Islamic traditions.
This left many people in shock as the step only aims to further radicalise educational institutions in Pakistan.
Reacting to the news report, actor Osman Khalid Butt wondered what the girls should gift to the boys on the occasion.
“Brilliant - though in the interest of fairness, the female students should gift chastity belts/horse blinders to the men, or better yet, have their eyes gouged out?” he wrote.
Serious and hilarious at the same time, this perfectly summed up how people are feeling about the development.
