
UAF To Start Two New Degree Programs

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th August, 2016) : University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) in collaboration with University of California (UC) Davis, USA, will start two new postgraduate degree programs including MSc (Honors) Climate Changes and MSc (Honors) Seed Science and Technology. A spokesman of the UAF told here on Friday that the programs are initiated by US Pakistan Center for Advances Studies (USPCAS) Agriculture and Food Security, University of Agriculture Faisalabad.
He told that the USPCAS Bio-technology Chair and Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics are launching the seed science and technology program whereas Climate Changes program is being kicked off by Department of Agronomy and USPCAS Climate Changes Chair.
The initiatives are taken to meet the emerging challenges facing the agriculture sector that will help ensure the food security in the country, he added. He said that the admissions are opened and last date to apply is September 02.
