Naqeebullah’s father said that those talking against army are actually talking against Pakistan.
Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 10th June, 2019) Naqeebullah Mehsud’s father while rejecting the agenda of external powers has claimed that some elements are politicising his son’s mother.
Speaking to media, he said that he won’t allow anybody to do politics over Naqeebullah’s murder.
The father said that he did not allow anybody to collect funds in the name of his son, adding that he trusts Pakistani courts and justice system.
He was hopeful to get justice within a year. Naqeebullah’s father further said that those talking against army are actually talking against Pakistan.
Supporting Pak Army’s presence in his area, he said that the slogans of some people are only against Pakistan.
I would like to tell them that Pakistan belongs to all of us, he added.
He went on to say that Pak Army restored peace in tribal areas and did developmental work there.
He said that nobody can defeat us if we leave politics and stand by our army.
Naqeebullah Mehsud, a 27-year-old native of Waziristan, was among three others who were accused of terrorism and killed on the orders of Malir SSP Rao Anwar, in what was later termed a 'fake encounter'.
Anwar along with 10 of his subordinates and 15 other absconders were arrested on charges of abducting Naqeebullah for ransom and later killing him along with three other detainees in a fake encounter on Jan 13, 2018 on the outskirts of Karachi.
The Supreme Court had taken notice of the death of Naqeebullah Mehsud after the incident caused widespread outrage on social media and protests by political and religious parties.
After Naqeebullah's killing, the Mehsud National Movement went on protest which converted into Pashtun Tahafuz Movement, and they held nation-wide protest against forced disappearances and counterfeit competitions.
