Mehran University To Launch Chinese Language Course From March 26

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 06th Mar, 2018 ) :The management of Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro in collaboration with Cadet College Petaro will start classes of Chinese language course at main Jamshoro Campus from March 26.

It was informed by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aslam Uqaili while addressing the agreement signing ceremony of launching of Chinese language course at Mehran University on Tuesday. He informed that decision of launching the Chinese language classes has been made in order to cater the demand of skilled manpower for scores of job opportunities which expected following the projects under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor within next two years.

He said that completion of upcoming mega projects under C-PEC requires the services of scores of engineers therefore learning Chinese language for undergraduate engineers of the university is the need of the hours.

He informed that a total of 25 students have taken admission in the first batch of Chinese language course and their classes will be started from March 26, 2018. The Principal Cadet College Petaro Commodore Mehboob Elahi while speaking on the occasion said that C-PEC is going to set a new dimension of China Pakistan friendship and there is the need that the graduates of the country should learn Chinese language to meet the upcoming challenges of progress and prosperity of their homeland.

He said Chinese language is the vast language as every fourth person of the world possessed ability of learning and speaking the Chinese language. The learning and speaking of Chinese language would help the youth of the country further strengthen the Pakistan and China relations, he added.

The Director Chinese Language Cadet College Petaro Gong Jinpei informed that Chinese language centres are already functioning in the higher learning institutions of Karachi, Lahore and Faisalabad and launching of the said language course in Mehran University is going to become possible as a result of agreement between the university management and the Cadet College Petaro.

Later, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aslam Uqaili and the Principal Cadet College Petaro Commodore Mehboob elahi and Director Gong Jinpei signed the agreement of launching Chinese language course at Mehran University Jamshoro.
